Denali National Park

In the rain shadow of the Alaska Range, boreal forest gives way to open tundra, braided rivers and glaciated mountains. Denali rises beyond a succession of lower ridges, revealing its scale only when the weather allows.

The animals belong to that scale. Caribou cross the open slopes, bears move through the tundra, Dall sheep remain high on the rock and Moose disappear into the spruce. This series keeps them within the landscape rather than separating them from it.
