The Great Tit is the largest and most widespread European tit. It adapts readily to gardens and nest boxes, and its varied calls and simple two-note songs are among the most familiar sounds of European woodland.

ID tip: The black head and throat, large white cheek patches, yellow underparts and black central belly stripe separate it from other European tits.
