Discovery Park

A very quiet start at the water, with only distant gulls and a single Caspian Tern working the shallows. Inland along the paths it picked up: Spotted Towhees at the edge of the brush and a robin, tame and close. The evening ended on the park's big lawn, where a pair of Violet-green Swallows were carrying food to a brood tucked under a building's eaves. The young leaned out with open mouths at every pass.
