Union Bay Natural Area

The first day, and mostly about learning the ground: which paths lead where, where the water opens up, where it is worth standing still. Twelve species were photographed for the list straight away, among them a Bald Eagle and an Osprey, both of which turned out to be regulars here rather than the events they felt like at the time. Thirty-four photographs, and a first sense of how much of this is waiting rather than shooting.
